| Inhoud van Artikel: | In Western cultures, it seems that, during the past century, 10% of the children in marriages were not produced by the husband himself. This husband though, had to bring up children of another, anonymous father, because his promiscuous wife wanted better genes of another, attractive male.
Because of privacy rules in the Netherlands, men are not -per definition- allowed to check the DNA of their alleged children via laboratories. Thus women can marry one man for his money, and secretly have children of another, eugenetically more beautiful, male. That prohibition of revealing DNA-descent, is against the fundamental right of every human individual to have his own biological children! When stuck with bringing up someone elses kids, people have less time or money to invest in possible own biological offspring.
A different cause of extramarital children is the fact that certain women were forced by other men to have sex with them. When this comes to light, these men should be prosecuted for their brutality.
For millennia, certain strains of wives have misused hardworking monogamous fathers while on the sly procreating with physically more attractive male gene-machines. Sociobiologically speaking, females are -in general- advocate of democratic marriage principles: they normally want a man to be monogamous, whereas many males have polygamous instincts. If men must abide to democratic rules (thus inhibiting their promiscuous feelings), then women should be faithful too: wives should only have children of the man they chose to marry.
If women stick to monogamous men, their sexual selection mechanism will change the evolutional course over future centuries, that is: male promiscuity-genes will die out in favour of monogamous traits.
